This soapstone carving kit has everything you need for beginner of intermediate carvers. This kit has six simple steps that will provide those with little to no experience with the tools to carve a 3D masterpiece. It contains a much larger block than the Beginner Set, and no design has been roughed in.
This kit includes a 3" x 3" x 5" soapstone block, a steel rasp carving tool, two rifflers, stone saw, snap-blade cutter and four grit sanding papers: 100, 360, 600, and 2000. Natural hand-carved Brazilian soapstone blocks range in hardness and colour from light green to blue to brown.
Note: Finishing oil is not included. You can use mineral oil, any cooking oil, or linseed oil for a more durable finish.
