Mahl sticks have been used by painters for centuries to steady the hand without touching the piece being worked on. Position the rubber top on a firm surface off your painting (easel, wall, table etc.) and rest your working hand on the stick to allow you to relax and keep steady.
This lightweight Mahl stick is 93cm long overall, comprised of three sections of 10mm diameter aluminum tubing that thread together. The handle has a knurled grip and the 'top' has a firm rubber studded ball. Made in Japan.
