“Pysanka” - part of Ukrainian cultural identity, symbol of a new life. The participants will learn 2 hour art class on painting the eggs with wax. Participants will work with the melted wax; they will decorate an egg in Ukrainian technique with a tool “pysachok” to create patterns and motifs with the help of wax and then dye it. Regardless of design specifics, every pysanka is packed with meaning and carries great cultural significance. Nataliia will highlight Ukrainian ethnic design principles and basic colour theory while encouraging participants to experiment with the melted wax and applied colors, and get a very unique piece of art.
