Mitsumata has a naturally warm tone that is favoured by conservators for some repairs, as well as by printmakers for chine-colle. Shorter than kozo fibre, mitsumata fibre is not the best choice where strength is needed. Cooked with soda ash and dried on stainless steel. Excellent for chine-colle, drawing, layering, pen & ink. Because it is unbleached natural fibre some colour variations occur from batch to batch. Heritage Washi (HW)
