Handmade and air dried in Nepal, the production of this paper honors traditional Japanese papermaking techniques in the manner in which it is poured and air dried. This method of papermaking includes a direct relationship with the earth. This means that production is influenced by the elements, sometimes producing interesting variations. Lokta has long and luxurious fibers, giving the sheets their natural shine. The paper sheets measure 15" x 20", are acid-free and feature two deckled edges. Paper designs are printed using silk-screening, woodblock and other printing techniques.
Manufactured by hand in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal by a certified fair trade workshop.
As the paper is handmade, small variations in color and thickness can occur.
